Typological Balance
Typological or cognitive balance is achieved when I turn off my judgement long enough to take in new data, but also turn off the pipeline of new data long enough to draw conclusions and make decisions. While making decisions too often or too quickly is certainly a behavioral liability and a developmental challenge, I was recently reminded by this ad how funny it can be. Work toward typological balance and remember, don’t judge too quickly.
People interested in Type have long had the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and today they also have the Pearman Personality Integrator, a more contemporary and sophisticated approach to our cognitive development.
OKA’s best MBTI-rooted Type development class is the two-day Using Type for Coaching and Development. Interactive and highly actionable, this advanced application workshop is an OKA client favorite.
