MBTI Training Designs and Exercises
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Stand-out Type training requires many things—chief among them a solid design that reflects closely the client’s reality and needs as well as ample opportunities for participants to interact with each other and both get involved with and apply the information. Effective trainers start with some very important questions. What learning or outcome is most wanted or needed from a training in the first place? What does success look like, and how will it be measured? Is Type/the MBTI the best approach? A full day, a half-day, two hours, less than an hour—do I have a design that best uses the time available? How do I use Type data (the preferences of my participants) to best tailor the training design to the specific time, group and circumstances?
This interactive online class asks and answers these questions—and others. In addition, this course shares dozens of group exercises—from activities that illustrate both sides of a Type dichotomy to team and system-level applications that promote growth and put Type to work, including when to select—or avoid—each exercise and how to be competent and confident in processing the data that emerge from the group experiences. This 8-hour workshop is taught only by MBTI thought-leaders with over a decade of delivery experience.
Workshop Outcomes:
- Review the core content of each dichotomy to accurately see the point(s) that each exercise is chosen to highlight or illuminate—both cementing the content as well as modeling how to present/teach this core content
- Learn contracting questions and check-lists that ensure the training has an achievable target and metrics that are both reasonable and commonly understood
- Receive and discuss a variety of agendas—that flex around time frame, group size, training space limitations and other such trainer challenges
- Engage the MBTI Type Table as a diagnostic tool that does (and should) impact the detail of any effective training design—and learn how to adapt your design around specific group realities
- Review sample data from archived group exercises, and discuss/practice processing and drawing out the learning from it
- Receive write-ups of over twenty-five exercises with detailed procedural and processing notes
- Explore and discuss OKA’s Presentation Tips—a presentation with a summary write-up—suggesting over a dozen tips that ensure sharp, compelling training (regardless of the tool at the center of the event)
- Receive a Packet of over 12 Agendas and procedural write-ups, OKA’s Type Table Analysis Packet and OKA’s MBTI Introduction Workbook
- Participate in an individual or small group coaching session (up to one hour) to help select the design that best supports and a desired approach to Type and the MBTI
- 12 CEs MBTI Master Practitioner
