Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. These three words and concepts have become increasingly important in the business world. More and more businesses are experiencing a shift in values; for the better! Focusing on diversity, equity, and inclusion creates a workspace where people are safe, where the status quo can be challenged, where new ideas can curate, and where innovation happens. We at OKA are dedicated to these concepts, which is why we’ve created the Inclusive Leadership Development Program.
This program comes with several steps to ensure that the leadership in your organization receives a personal and immersive experience over the course of a few months with us. Our workshops are fast-paced and interactive to ensure we maximize the time we have with our clients. Let’s walk through them:
EQ-i 360 Assessment
Everyone in the program will take an EQ360 Assessment. 360’s provide a well-rounded and accurate description of how we appear in others’ lives. It serves as a valuable starting point to receive feedback, and understand that, no matter where we are in our emotional journey, there is room for improvement.
Introduction to Emotional Intelligence (EQ-i): 3 Hour Course
Now that everyone has taken the assessment, they go through a course to explain the ins and outs of the EQ-i. It’s important to give everyone an understanding of Emotional Intelligence, and how they can use this to benefit the workplace. This is where everyone receives the results of their 360 and grasps their strengths and weaknesses.
EQ-i Coaching Sessions
Every individual member participating in the program will receive a full hour one-on-one with one of our certified coaches. They will discuss the assessment results and create an action plan to develop their Emotional Intelligence.
Inclusion and Collaboration Workshop: Tips for Making Groups and Teams Safer and More Inclusive: 4 Hour Course
Now that everyone has received some personalized information, it’s time to begin applying that knowledge. Armed with the knowledge of who you are as a leader, what can you then do with your skills to make your team collaborate better than ever before? This course is designed to teach and practice techniques to boost team collaboration and a shared sense of safety.
Team Culture: 2 Hour Course
How inclusive is your team or work group’s culture? Some team meetings need leaders who control the pace, and others need more gentle facilitation and shared leadership. This workshop introduces tips and suggestions for how to understand their group’s culture, and what to do with it.
Safe to Speak: Honing Your Inclusion Toolkit: 3 Hour Course
A common barrier to productivity is when participants do not feel safe to speak, free to engage, suggest options, or be open with others. This workshop helps leaders see the impact of the status quo and provides tools to create a better sense of collaboration.
